Copper

Copper has been cuddling with me the past few mornings when I have been typing on the laptop. Actually it may look cute in the pic
ture, but behind the scenes he has been obnoxious!!!
Biting me, biting the mouse, chewing on the lists and thank you notes I have been writing, and everywhere I move the list or pad I have been writing on he goes over to it and sits on top of it!! And if I happen to use the mouse I get my hand chewed on and then the mouse comes nex
t! Nathan says he is doing it because he is there to give me a hard time. Yeah right! I say it is because Nathan isn't here so he becomes the
mad kitty and transforms into an angel when Nathan is here!
  I thought at first
it was because Copper wanted food or attention, but he has food and I have been petting him and playing with him. As I pet him he still bites me!!! I give up!!!

Lake Nantahala

September 8-12, 2008

Acting macho
Sarah and Nathan tossed the others overboard at the same time., Apparently it wasn't planned that way, it just happened.

Laura annd Alaina on the dock

Me reading to Hannah and Marjory

Michael left the game of Sorry to take this shot
Nathan and I returning from a short canoing trip
Michael trying to hand feed a fish while Sarah watches
Nathan has never before looked quite as babyish than in this photo!
This was a cute picture of Laura on the kayak on the dock

Nathan's  final attempt to find his wedding ring. Funny story, but no results...it is lost for good.

a new tea cup to add to my growing collection!

I got a friend of mine to make this cup and saucer out of clay! Its uniqueness has made it my favorite tea cup!

As you can see, I am enjoying it immensely!!

Dinner?

Nope, it is mashed bananas! I always thought it looked gross and funny and wanted to share this with y'all. I love making banana bread. When I last made banana, I happened to remember all the times my siblings would join me in the kitchen while I was mashing the bananas and how they would peer over my work and say, "ewww!! That is so gross!! Why do you do that?" Hehe, This picture is dedicated to my siblings! :)

This just tickled me!

Nathan and Copper

Nathan and Copper fell asleep on the sofa and Scrabble decided she didn't want to be left out!

Our Memorial Day

We didn't get to spend Memorial Day at Mom and Dad's picnic this year so we decided to go to our favorite place: Fairfield Lake. Afterward we had our own picnic on the screen porch at Mama and Daddy's house (sorry, I didn't take pictures). Nathan did the grilling for us!

Fairfield Lake and the cliffs behind it (can't remember the cliffs' name)

One view from the lakeside trail

A huge rock with a tree growing on it!

This photo speaks for itself

A nice couple also walking the trail took this picture for us

I liked this picture of Nathan in awe of the tall tree!

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Scrabble sitting in the woods

Scrabble in the shade and feeling lazy

Copper with his head in his little jungle (pretty much the dopiest thing I think I have ever seen him do!!!)

Again , Scrabble feeling lazy

Exploring

Copper sitting down to rest after exploring

Scrabble watching Nathan read

Taking in the lazy day

Nathan reading beneath another tree

Copper stepping over me

I found for myself, that I too enjoyed Copper's jungle!

A view from beneath Coppers jungle

The first tree Scrabble climbed

The second tree she climbed (A piece of bark kept the lens from opening all the way and made an interesting picture anyway)

This time after the bark was removed from the lens

The trees surrounding our haven

A beautiful view in the woods

I am sure this is a view from a cat's perspective!
